competitive programs
The dancers who participate in the Competitive program at Dance in Motion will take a variety of classes in areas such as ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, acrobatics and hip-hop. This is a serious program that requires hard work and commitment. Dance in Motion requires that the dancers and parents are team players and work together for the success of the entire studio!
The dancers that are in the competitive level will participate in three to four competitions over the course of the dance season and will perform in the Studio and Company Year End Shows.
The Dance in Motion Youth Company consists of 6 different levels... Pearl, Ruby, Jade, Quartz, Topaz and Onyx.
Competitive Program Requirements
- Pearl- 1 ballet class (jazz tech is done in the Pearl Jazz class)
- Ruby - Jazz Tech and 2 Ballet Classes
- Jade - Jazz Tech and 2 Ballet Classes
- Quartz - Jazz Tech and 1 Ballet Class
- Topaz - Jazz Tech and 2 Ballet Classes (a 3rd ballet class is optional)
- Onyx - Jazz Tech and 2 Ballet Classes (a 3rd ballet class is optional)
